The New Israel Anti-Boycott Act Is Still Unconstitutional
Two senators introduced changes to the Israel Anti-Boycott Act, which would criminalize participation in certain political boycotts targeting Israel. The changes attempt to address the civil liberties concerns raised by the ACLU and other groups.
Unfortunately, the revised bill still violates the First Amendment. It does so by unconstitutionally penalizing Americans who participate in political boycotts of companies doing business in Israel and its settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, if those boycotts were called for by international governmental organizations like the United Nations. Imagine that, Americans give aide to a foreign country which then uses that aide to bribe the U.S. government, including congress.
As well, America supplies weapons and bombs for cowardly, terroristic Israel to drop on women and children blowing them to bits, even beheading and burning them. Then spreading propaganda lies claiming Palestinians are the terrorists. The truth is, Palestine has the right to fight its occupiers and terrorists who have been killing Palestinians and taking them hostage for decades. Israel stops the spread of truth and facts by controlling the narrative via bought and controlled media lies.
The states that have passed legislation making it illegal for state agencies to work with companies that boycott Israel include Texas, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arkansas, Minnesota, Nevada, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Kansas, North Carolina, Utah, Missouri, Idaho, West Virginia, Colorado, Mississippi and New Hampshire.

Two American civil rights groups have filed a lawsuit against a public university in Georgia for cancelling a speaker’s event who refused to sign an anti-boycott oath.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund filed the lawsuit on Monday on behalf of journalist Abby Martin.
Martin was scheduled to speak at Georgia Southern University on 28 February for a talk on media literacy. However, once slated to speak, she was sent a contract by the university which contained a mandatory oath that she would not boycott Israel.
The journalist, who has been advocating for the rights of Palestinians and uncovering human rights abuses at the hands of the Israeli government, refused to sign the contract.
As a result, the school cancelled her appearance at the event.
